Is a sales and marketing leader with 16 years’ experience in the housebuilding sector, where she has led commercial strategy, driven growth and built strong, customer-focused brands across residential developments. At Modularwise, her work is focused on advancing modular construction as a scalable, high-quality solution to meet housing demand, driving market awareness, building strategic partnerships and supporting the delivery of innovative homes through modern methods of construction. Christie is passionate about the future of housing and the role modular will play in transforming the sector, and is looking forward to sharing her perspective at the Housing Conference in Manchester.

Lewis Tolputt, Business Development Manager, Classic Builders (South West) Limited

Lewis is Business Development Manager at Classic Builders (South West) Limited, Devon and Cornwall’s largest privately owned construction company, where he has played a key role in strategic growth, client partnerships and the expansion of the company’s affordable and sustainable housing portfolio since 2018. With a career spanning construction, project management and operational leadership, Lewis brings a broad commercial perspective and deep practical understanding of the evolving built environment.

Working closely with housing providers, local authorities and development partners, Lewis has helped position Classic Builders at the forefront of low-carbon residential delivery—from award-recognised Passivhaus and Passivhaus Plus developments to pioneering zero-carbon, LETI-aligned housing projects. He has also championed the integration of modern methods of construction (MMC), helping traditional construction practices evolve through innovative off-site and precision-led building solutions.

A passionate advocate for the future of sustainable housing, Lewis combines commercial insight with hands-on sector expertise to explore how the industry can deliver better homes, greater efficiency and long-term environmental impact. His work spans not only business development and strategic partnerships, but also skills development and industry engagement- supporting the next generation of construction professionals and helping shape a more resilient, zero-carbon housing sector.

Marc Marsh, Senior Development Manager at Raven Housing Trust

Marc has dedicated over 17 years to Social Housing, beginning his career with a specialist supported housing provider. Over the years, he has honed his technical expertise, contributing to land-led, S106, and regeneration schemes.  With experience, both profession and lived-in experience of housing with various construction methodologies and tech, Marc brings a well rounded experience to the table. At Raven he currently heads up the delivery team, dealing with all things develop from cradle to grave, adding in Clerk of Works and aftercare too.

Katie Rudin, Housing and Innovation Director at Akerlof, Co-Chair @ Building Better: Community of Practice

Katie Rudin is Housing and Innovation Director at Akerlof, a B Corp consultancy specialising in ESG, MMC and delivery strategy across the built environment, and co-chair of the Building Better Community of Practice. With over 14 years’ experience spanning L&Q, Berkeley and Hill, she combines client insight with sector-leading innovation. Katie has led MMC and digital projects including MHCLG’s digital kit-of-parts, engaging over 300 experts and the award-winning L&Q DfMA Toolkit. She authored the Strategic MMC Action Plan for Combined Authorities and advised West Yorkshire Combined Authority on Net Zero delivery. Katie is passionate about translating policy into scalable, inclusive solutions that unlock quality, affordability and social value in housing
