Steve Malone

Steve Malone is a business leader with nearly two decades of experience building and scaling technology, data, and procurement businesses and a long-standing commitment to using commercial success as a force for positive impact.

Currently Group Chief Executive Officer of the organisation behind Procurement for Housing, Steve leads a purpose-driven business providing technology, data, and procurement solutions to public and private sector customers across the UK. He has been with the group for almost 18 years, having joined as Managing Director in 2008 and grown the business through a period of significant transformation and expansion before stepping up to Group CEO in 2020. Under his leadership, the organisation has built a reputation as a trusted partner, one that combines commercial rigour with a genuine commitment to helping customers improve performance and deliver better outcomes.

Before joining the group, Steve held senior commercial and operational leadership roles across a range of sectors and organisations. He served as Head of Commercial at 3M, Divisional Director at Thomson Learning, Operations Director at A4e, and Contracts Director at Iron Mountain Records Management, a breadth of experience that gave him a strong grounding in financial performance, team leadership, and complex contract environments, including within large multinationals, SMEs, and private equity backed businesses.

Throughout his career, Steve has built high-performing teams from start-up through transformational change and high growth, operating both in the UK and internationally. His approach is entrepreneurial and people-first, focused on developing strong, sustainable partnerships and finding solutions that create lasting value for customers and communities alike.
