About our procurement framework

Fire safety failures carry not only regulatory consequences but real human cost. PfH’s Fire Safety Works framework places compliance and resident safety at the heart of procurement. Bringing together a fully vetted supply chain, it enables housing associations and social housing landlords to access trusted contractors across every aspect of fire prevention, detection and protection. From active and passive systems to cladding and fire doors, the framework ensures quality and value are built into every project.

Open to housing associations, local authorities and other registered providers, housing providers can strengthen building resilience, ensure peace of mind for residents and maintain public trust in their housing standards.

What's Included?

  • Active Systems: Design, installation, testing and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems, such as alarms, sprinklers and smoke ventilation, helping you keep residents safe and meet compliance requirements.
  • Passive Works: Fire-resistant measures built into the fabric of a building, including compartmentation, fire-stopping and structural protection, all delivered by accredited contractors.
  • Fire Doors (Contractor Supply & Install): Third-party certified supply and fitting of compliant fire doors, ensuring secure installation and peace of mind.
  • Fire Doors (Manufacturer Supply & Install): Specialist manufacturers supplying and installing fire doors with proven certification and quality assurance.
  • Fire Doors (Manufacturer Supply Only): Supply of compliant, independently tested fire doors from trusted manufacturers.
  • Cladding: Removal and replacement of unsafe cladding with approved, fire-resistant alternatives to meet building safety standards.
  • Whole-Building Works: End-to-end fire protection projects covering multiple measures across entire buildings, managed by experienced suppliers.

PfH works with you throughout the entire process – from initial requirement definition, through procurement, to ongoing contract delivery and management. We recommend contacting PfH early to discuss your project requirements and determine the most appropriate procurement route. You can award contracts through two routes: Direct Award or Mini-Competition. Contracts may be awarded for any duration necessary to deliver your requirements.
