We have developed rigorous recruitment, training and appraisal processes across our teams to ensure that whoever you are talking to, they will always be able to support you. Our procurement team are nearly all Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) qualified and receive regular EU Academy masterclass sessions to keep up-to-date with the latest regulatory information. Our people in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Billing are equally well qualified.
Procurement for Housing is led by Steve Malone, Managing Director and supported by a senior team including: Rob Peck, Director of Procurement Services; Mike Reason, Director of Finance and Andrew Carlin, Commercial Director.
Andrew Carlin - Commercial Director
Andrew is a familiar face to PfH stakeholders and Members. He joined PfH as Commercial Director in 2013 and has 20 years of experience working in the social housing sector.
Andrew leads PfH’s account management function and is responsible for developing all commercial services.
The account management team is your first point of contact if you want to discuss your procurement challenges or have a specific query.
Andy Peck - Interim Sales Manager
Andy joined PfH in 2013 and was recently appointed as interim sales manager, looking after a busy team of five account managers.
His team is the first port of call for PfH Members and together they work with housing associations on a cross section of frameworks and procurement services.
Andy meets regularly with suppliers and supports Members with their requirements, sharing procurement best practice and quickly resolving any issues.
Ross Green - Account Manager
Ross spent five years in business development and marketing before joining PfH. His experience of working across different industries gives him a clear understanding of Members’ needs and challenges.
Based in PfH’s Warrington office, Ross is in contact with Members on a daily basis, ensuring they are aware and have understanding of the benefits of PfH frameworks and offerings.
Russ Sharpe - Account Manager for Central England and the East
Russ has over 20 years of field sales experience which includes working with national house builders and Housing Associations.
Prior to joining PfH, Russ was part of the start up team who successfully launched Staples Advantage in the UK. Working with a number of SME’s, Russ has celebrated great success and was awarded Business Development Associate of the year.
James Parker - Account Manager for London and South East
James graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in European Politics, Society and Economics. He has a strong entrepreneurial drive which spurred him to start his own online business.
The experience of working on his own business, has enabled James to form invaluable working relationships with stakeholders and build his understanding of customer needs.
Ian Marsh - Account Manager for the South West
Ian joined PfH in 2016 having previously been area manager with Learndirect where he built a portfolio of over 300 companies with a monthly turnover of £35,000.
Ian spends much of his time meeting Members across the South West, addressing their procurement needs and helping them achieve key goals.

Energy Procurement and Consultancy
Magnus Walker - Director of Trading and Risk
Magnus started his career in city trading equities, currencies and financial instruments before moving into the energy sector as the electricity markets began to liberalise across Europe. After running a Scandinavian brokerage operation in Norway he returned to the UK as European Energy Markets Product Development Manager for an international financial organisation.
With the opening up of the UK electricity market on a commoditised basis he joined Norweb to establish their trading team before doing a similar job at National Grid, then returned to the North West to create First Hydro’s trading operation. He ran this for 10 years.
He then joined the Government Procurement Service in 2011 as Head of Trading covering the purchasing of all wholesale electricity and gas and overseeing origination for central government and wider public sector customers.
Magnus was also a leading trader on behalf of the electricity industry in the process of bringing NordPool/OMX to the UK market which subsequently established a Day Ahead auction and financial futures market. He was Chairman of the UK Power Traders Forum under the auspices of the Futures and Options Association for 2 years and is currently active on industry committees looking at market developments with government and regulatory bodies. In additon, he is a Member of the Energy Institute.

Rob Peck (MCIPS) - Director of Procurement Services
Rob is Head of Procurement Services for PfH and has extensive experience within the social housing sector. Rob and his team provide procurement solutions for PfH Members in the form of procurement health checks, spend analysis, bespoke tendering, collaborative agreements and procurement outsourcing.
