Understanding Contract Terms

What is this workshop about?

In most organisations, goods and services have a process "flow". Contract terms and conditions are a fundamental part of this process, including standard legal terms and related special terms and attachments.

This workshop concentrates on contract terms within service contracts.

As a result of attending this workshop, delegates will be able to:

  • Interpret the main issues within a set of model conditions of contract for service
  • Interpret the main legal contract terms
  • Draft contract specifications and operational conditions
  • Understand how conditions are implemented.

Workshop Trainer

Kieran McGregor - Associate Training Consultant: Kieran has worked in a variety of industries including public health, transport, and more recently the oil and gas sectors. He has twenty years experience as a practitioner and trainer in Supply Chain Management. Kieran's areas of expertise include international supply chain management, cross-cultural negotiations, the English legal system and contract law. He also has a keen interest in inventory management.

Kieran has a BA Hons, MBA, Graduate Diploma in Law and is accredited as a teacher in Higher Education. He is also a member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
