Creating a Procurement Strategy.

What is this workshop about?

The Social Housing sector spends in excess of £5bn each year. It is important that this spending provides the highest levels of value achievable. The association's procurement strategy is the starting point to ensure that this is achieved.

As a result of attending this workshop, delegates will be able to:

  • Appreciate the political and environmental factors that influence the need for an effective procurement strategy
  • Identify of the benefits gained by the organisation from an effective procurement strategy
  • Identify the key stages in the development of the strategy
  • Identify he procurement options available to the organisation that will inform the strategy
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the procurement strategy.

Who will benefit from this workshop?

This workshop is designed for all staff with procurement responsibilities, heads of Asset Management and Housing and Development staff. It will provide information on the latest thinking applied to procurement strategies and how organisations can develop theirs to pave the way for more effective procurement practices.
