Analysing the Supply Chain: An 'Action Planning' Approach to Procurement Management

What is this workshop about?

This unique approach to improving your purchasing practice is only offered as an in-house workshop, and should include all key staff involved in your organisation's purchasing.

Opportunities for significant savings from the purchasing budget will be generated during this workshop through strategic planning, tactical management, operational process review, contract management and change management. This is a 'team event' designed to involve and empower all team members in setting and agreeing business objectives and then delivering results.

The tools used to achieve a successful outcome include:

  • Identifying and developing key business objectives
  • Developing a team approach to the purchasing process
  • Identifying good practice appropriate to your organisation, benchmarking and identifying barriers that need to be overcome

  • Deliver agreed targets

Tactical

  • Developing the 'Action Plan'
  • Setting the goal and the standards
  • Identifying appropriate good practice and identifying 'barriers'
  • Creating a Critical Plan Map

The workshop will conclude with a review session that monitors performance and ensures continuous improvement at all levels.
