M2 Digital prides itself on a 98 percent customer retention.

8th July, 2010

For over 30 years, Look Ahead has provided vulnerable customers with high quality accommodation and the care and support services they need to live independently. Working with people who are amongst society's most vulnerable, whose lives can be very chaotic, Look Ahead support people to feel secure and to see a future. Working in partnership with local authorities and primary care trusts, last year Look Ahead supported over 5,000 people.

Look Ahead have been trading with PfH supplier, M2 Digital for over three years and have recently renewed their printer fleet and extended their relationship for a further three years. M2 prides itself on a 98% customer retention rate and it's easy to see just why.

Ben MacBean, Procurement Manager at Look Ahead, has managed the print and photocopier fleet for many years. Ben was happy to talk about Look Ahead's experience of M2. Ben explained that four years ago Look Ahead had a fleet of forty plus devices supplied and manufactured by one of London's largest and oldest copier companies and had become very old, poorly maintained and uneconomical. Look Ahead turned to PfH for advice.

On the previous Photocopier and MFD Agreement, PfH had Canon and M2 Digital nominated on the framework as approved suppliers*. Look Ahead invited both companies to present their capabilities and solution, Ben said, "It became very clear from early in the discussions that M2 were different, their commitment to help us overcome such large obstacles like legacy leases and service contracts they offered sample solutions to some very complex problems."

The Docu‐Audit performed by the M2 team was the most comprehensive document making it easy for the management team to make decisions about our fleet armed with what we had and the savings that could be made with new digital MFD's. The installation of 28 devices and print scanners was done at Look Ahead's pace and the M2 Docu‐logic teams made multiple visits to each site to hand hold all users and show them how to maximize the benefits of the Ricoh machines.

During the first three years of our contract the longest Look Ahead had to wait for service was five hours. Typically M2's response time is under three hours and every time Look Ahead had a new member of staff who required training, M2's customer support representatives supported Look Ahead free of charge.

Ben commented, "Renewing the contract was the simplest of operations, especially as M2 had reduced our costs by a further 30% and installed lock print and smart net monitor for us to better manage our print and copy requirements and when comparing M2 to all our suppliers. I would say without a doubt that M2 are the perfect supplier."

*Please note: the previous Photocopier and MFD Agreement ended in March 2009. The present Photocopier and MFD Agreement contract period runs from April 2009 to March 2012 with Altodigital, Computerland and M2 Digital appointed to the framework as nominated suppliers. Following the re-tender of this Agreement, Canon is no longer a PfH approved supplier.
