Grafton Group host green roadshow to help PfH Members achieve the Code for Sustainable Homes

Grafton Group are hosting a green roadshow to help PfH Members achieve the Code for Sustainable Homes.

The Group, made up of Plumbase, Buildbase and Jackson Building Centres, are inviting PfH Members to attend the ‘Go Green Roadshows’.  The roadshows will showcase key environmental products and help the social housing sector  to understand the changing demands of the construction industry driven by legislation, consumer demand and environmental concerns.

With the increasing demands from the Code for Sustainable Homes this exhibition will assist you in making the right choices for products to achieve you environmental targets.

The exhibitions will be held at two locations – Manchester and Watford – with a manufacturers display area involving a number of companies specialising in environmental technology. There will be technical specialists on hand to assist you with any questions you may have. The two exhibitions are to be held on:

29th June 2010 at the Hilton Watford Hotel, Elton Way, Watford, WD25 8HA                         

12th July 2010 at the Ramda Manchester, Salford Quays, 17 Trafford Road, Manchester, M5 3AW

Places at each venue will be strictly limited to  130 association delegates.  Delegates will be able to attend the days events which will be addressing key issues such as the Code for Sustainable Homes, ISO14001 and the Chain of Custody.

Four manufacturers  will be giving presentations on their products including solar heating and solar PV, air source heat pumps, heat recovery and ventilation and rainwater harvesting.  Delegates will also be free to browse supplier stands and discuss their specific needs with the experts in attendance.

This initiative shows how Grafton and PfH will be managing the increasing future demand for environmental products and the impact of legislation on business. The session will focus on key sustainable products and the training and support network required in the future.
