PfH re-tender 'one stop shop' Materials Agreement

3rd February, 2010

PfH would like to offer Members the opportunity to play an integral part in the development of its most important Agreement to date. The Materials Agreement will be re-tendered during the next 4-month period and we would like Members to help in its development.

The current Materials Agreement has been a massive success, and has seen PfH Members purchase 30,000 boilers, 45,000 radiators, 3,000,000 wall tiles and in excess of 1,000,000kg of cement since May 2007. Millions of pounds of savings have been delivered to trading Members.

However, the sector has seen significant change over the past three years and the pressures on housing providers to achieve and demonstrate value for money are greater than ever. PfH recognises these challenges and wants to work with Members to further improve the current Materials Agreement.

The Improved PfH Materials Agreement

The new Agreement will consist of the following six individual lots:

• Plumbing and Heating

• Building Materials

• Electrical Items

• Stores Management

• Aids and Adaptations

• Heating Spares

The individual lots will create an EU compliant "one stop shop" for Members who will benefit from clear bespoke arrangements for each product area, offering the best in terms of quality, pricing, and capacity to service the Agreement effectively. The additional lots will also ensure that Members benefit from the suppliers' expertise and knowledge in each specialist area.

Product Group

For Members that would like to become even more involved in the tender process there is an opportunity to become part of the Materials Product Group. Full details of Product Group Member responsibilities can be found here. To express your interest, please click here.
