PfH launches 2009 Annual Conference, Collaboration: the Mother of Invention.

10th September, 2009

PfH is delighted to launch the agenda to the 2009 Annual Conference. The conference, entitled ‘Collaboration: the Mother of Invention', will take place on Tuesday 24th November at the ICC in Birmingham.

The power of collaborative procurement is the principle on which PfH was founded. The sector knows the force that cooperation can bring. But what about new ideas, invention and originality? How can a group effort lead to discovery and creativity within social housing procurement?

Set against the backdrop of a long-lasting downturn and deteriorating public finances, the housing sector is faced with growing efficiency and sustainability requirements coupled with the increasing demands of risk management. Housing providers, Government agencies, procurement specialists, suppliers and academic experts will come together to discuss how cooperation can nurture innovative and cost effective solutions to these challenges.

Sessions will cover the impact of the recession on the dynamic of supply chains, the challenges surrounding waste management legislation, how organisations can support local merchants whilst securing the most efficient procurement terms, breaking through the proliferation of sustainable products and how technology is driving purchasing efficiency. All these topics will be covered in addition to many others.

The event is a great opportunity for everyone involved in the procurement process to learn about key issues and discover how collaborative procurement can lead to new opportunities.

Delegate places are limited and the event has been fully booked over the last three years. To avoid disappointment, book now by clicking here.
