PfH Announces Imminent Launch of Building Cleaning Services Agreement

The new PFH Building Cleaning Services Framework is due to be launched to Members shortly and will cover the supply of cleaning services within the property portfolio of individual Member organisations, including offices and communal or shared areas within sheltered accommodations, for instance.

Key features and benefits of the new Agreement will include:

  • National coverage with reduced hourly labour rates obtained for PfH Members on a regional basis.

  • Suppliers with experience of working in environments with vulnerable clients and, where appropriate, CRB and advanced checks conducted for all relevant staff.

  • Supplier commitment to support Equal Opportunities and Diversity in delivery of the services and SLAs that reflect this.

  • Supplier compliance with current regulations including the Control of Substances that are Hazardous to Health (C.O.S.H.H.), Health & Safety at Work and reporting of accidents.

  • Minimum standards of performance for a variety of typical cleaning tasks.

  • Minimum standards of hygienic, safe, and environmentally conscious cleaning products / materials to be used by suppliers.

  • Awarded supplier(s) will be fully cognisant of the environmental impact of fulfilling cleaning tasks including no use of CFCs, fully trained staff to ensure optimum and efficient use of cleaning products / materials, use of recycled and recyclable cleaning products / materials, and alternatives to aerosols wherever possible.
