Annual Conference 2009
Collaboration: The Mother of Invention
PfH was delighted to host the PfH Annual Conference 2009 at The ICC in Birmingham on Tuesday 24th November 2009.
The power of collaborative procurement is the principle on which PfH was founded. The sector knows the force that cooperation can bring. But what about new ideas, invention and originality? How can a group effort lead to discovery and creativity within social housing procurement?
Set against the backdrop of a long-lasting downturn and deteriorating public finances, the housing sector is faced with growing efficiency and sustainability requirements coupled with the increasing demands of risk management. Housing providers, Government agencies, procurement specialists, suppliers and academic experts will come together to discuss how cooperation can nurture innovative and cost effective solutions to these challenges.
The event was a great opportunity for everyone who attended, to learn about key issues and discover how collaborative procurement can lead to new opportunities.
PfH Exhibition
PfH's Exhibition ran alongside the Annual Conference, and proved to be very successful. Suppliers who had been appointed to PfH agreements showcased their products and services, explaining to Members how each deal works and answering any questions.
