What volume of business do you put through PfH's Materials Agreement?
Last year we spent around £350k on Heating Materials.
What benefits has PfH created for your organisation?
Materials savings particularly on heating materials. We have been able to increase the amount of properties that we could provide with new heating systems. This has speeded up our programme meaning our tenants have got their new heating quicker that they would have done before.
Was it easy to set up with the Account Cards?
Yes, Rick Awdas our Account Manager came to our office to explain how it all worked, set us up with the cards. The whole process only took a couple of weeks. Rick has continued to contact us to ensure any problems that we have been quickly resolved and to identify other areas where we could make savings in the future.
What savings do you expect to make annually?
We have saved around £50,000 which represents a saving of approximately 15%.
Have you managed to reinvest your procurement cost savings? How will your residents and their neighbourhoods benefit?
Any savings we make enables us to install more bathrooms and heating systems. This means we can continue to make substantial improvements to the standards of tenants’ living environments.
What would you say to other housing organisations that are considering becoming PfH Members?
Carry out a cost analysis prior to purchasing materials with PfH to enable you to compare costs before and after, ensure invoices received from PfH have all details including addresses and correct order numbers.
