Why did you choose to undertake the Print Management mini-tender through PfH?

Procurement for Housing's framework is already EU compliant and the companies on the framework have already been through rigorous qualification and evaluation processes. We were able to take advantage of this and run a mini-competition in a comparatively short period of time.

What benefits will the Print Management contract bring to New Generation Group?

The main benefit for the New Generation Group will be the chance to make considerable savings on their annual printing costs. This is on top of the chance to share best practice on printing issues. We can demonstrate value for money and compliance with European legislation. We have a Print Manager as a supplier as opposed to a printer; with access to 200 plus printers. We will have a single point of contact for all our print requirements and this makes administration and performance management much easier.

What savings do you expect to make annually?

We expect to save approximately 30% annually.

How do you plan to reinvest your procurement cost savings?

As we are a not-for-profit organisation, we will be reinvesting the savings straight back into customer focused services.

How will your residents and their neighbourhoods benefit from this reinvestment?

Customers will benefit from the reinvestment in new and different ways. The extra funds will enable us to make a positive impact on our customers' lives and the communities in which they live.

What would you say to other organisations interested in undertaking a mini-tender?

It's a fantastic opportunity to go into the market place and see what is out there; things have changed a lot during the last 18 months. Embarking on a mini-tender ensures you are getting the best deal for your organisation.
