Procurement for Housing is now seeking a visionary leader to drive efficiency and value for money throughout the social housing sector.
The role of Chair to the PfH Advisory Committee is an outstanding opportunity for one the sector’s leading lights to have a major impact at a national level and create reinvestment in frontline services and in support of the activities of HouseMark, the National Housing Federation and the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Being charismatic, influential, visionary and passionate about value for money, the successful applicant will have an opportunity to support government policy in collaborative procurement. The role is a high profile position offering recognition and the opportunity to influence at all levels across the sector. We are seeking both a leader and an ambassador that can help take PfH on to its next phase of growth.
Background
PfH is the national procurement consortium for the social housing sector with over 700 Members representing over 2.3 million homes.
PfH’s vision is to enable social housing organisations to achieve and demonstrate absolute efficiency and professionalism in procurement so that their tenants can be assured of excellent services and value for money. Member involvement is critical to this vision.
Value for money is critical for the social housing sector and it is considered that through effective collaborative procurement this policy intent can clearly be both achieved and demonstrated.
The consortium is under contract with HouseMark which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Housing Federation and the Chartered Institute of Housing.
The purchase and supply of over £1.5 million in goods and services is managed every week through PfH.
PfH is committed to meeting the sectors needs through e-procurement, sustainable procurement and tenant involvement.
More than £25 million has been saved for the social housing sector so far.
