PfH Annual Conference and Exhibition 2010, More for less, 7th October, Manchester Central

PfH is delighted to invite you to attend the PfH Annual Conference and Exhibition 2010, which is set to take place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex on 7th October 2010. Faced with the squeeze in public funding, the 2010 Conference will be themed around the subject of delivering “More for less”.

Against the backdrop of Housing Minister Grant Shapp’s announcement at the Chartered Institute of Housing Conference that the housing sector has been living beyond its means, it is imperative for Registered Providers to get smarter with the limited resources available.

In recognition that Providers need to save money in the current climate and put tenants firmly in the driving seat, PfH is delighted to offer the first 150 Members who sign up as delegates, the opportunity to attend for free on the condition that they are accompanied by a tenant*.

This year’s Conference will focus on how housing providers can achieve value for money, establish tenant involvement, deliver cashable and non-cashable efficiencies through eProcurement and meet sustainability targets in line with the new Green Homes, Warmer Homes Strategy.

Housing providers, Government agencies, procurement specialists, suppliers and academic experts will come together to discuss how collective procurement can achieve more for less. Speakers confirmed include: Sarah Webb, Chief Executive of the CIH, Michelle Reid, Chief Executive of TPAS, Cora Carter MBE, Chair of TAROE, Roy Irwin, Director of Housing, Sustainability and Economic Development at the Audit Commission, Ross Fraser, Chief Executive of HouseMark and David Smith, Economics Editor of The Sunday Times amongst others.

Running alongside the Annual Conference, is the PfH Exhibition where suppliers who have been appointed to PfH Agreements will be showcasing their products and services, explaining to Members how each deal works and answering any questions.

The structure of this year’s Exhibition has been revised to accommodate pre-arranged Member appointments with suppliers which will run in parallel to a variety of workshops, to be repeated morning and afternoon.

Pre-arranged meetings will ensure you can fit practical discussions into your busy PfH Conference schedule alongside seminars and other networking.

PfH is offering the first 150 Members who sign up as delegates the opportunity to attend for free on the condition that they are accompanied by a tenant and commit to attend two supplier meetings.*

Should you not wish to be joined by a tenant, PfH invites you to attend the Conference at a delegate rate of £185 + VAT.
